Medium shouldn’t be your everything — but here’s what it can do for you:
I’ve been writing on Medium for about a year now — but I didn’t start writing with frequency until last summer. My primary reason for writing was to share my stories to build my coaching practice. By putting myself “out there,” my clients would be able to follow my lead and do the same. Not necessarily writing, but in other parts of their lives.
Writing on Medium became more than that for me. It expanded my universe of clients. Clients wanted me to write copy for their websites and social media. Some clients wanted help with their writing. Clients wanted me to coach them with the Law of Attraction. My articles steered my clients to me.
We all have a digital footprint. Some digital impressions are social media-heavy. For example, someone’s Facebook account might reveal a great deal about them. Another person’s LinkedIn might be more indicative of their lifestyle. For me, it’s Medium. My point is, we all leave digital breadcrumbs.
