Trump should honor her wish — women will respect him for it.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died today at age 87.

We have lost an icon. A brilliant mind who paved the way for women — even before she became a Supreme Court Justice. She was a major part of the beginning of the Womens Movement in the US. Not only is her tremendous body of work her legacy — but also her connection with generations of Americans. She was beloved.

CNN reported that just days before her death, as her strength waned, she dictated a letter to her granddaughter — that “it was her most fervent wish that Donald Trump not have the right to install her replacement.”

There is no greater tragedy for this country than for Donald Trump to install Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s replacement.

I’m watching CNN and hardened prosecutors and career politicians are visibly crying. On air talent are fighting back tears.

Irin Carmon, co-author of “Notorious RBG,” while discussing the justice, her work and her life — had her voice cracking in tears during her interview with Anderson Cooper.
